430 Ferritic-grade steel is the next thing to the steel used in knives, forks and spoons made from the 400 series of stainless steel. But cutlery is harder than 430 stainless, which is softer and much closer in physical properties (durable, flexible, bendable) to the 300 series sheets sold as food and industrial grade steel. 430 Magnetic stainless also has a brushed finish similar to the 300-series.

IMPORTANT! Magnetic stainless should not be confused with the metal that magnets are made from, but instead this metal only has the ability to hold magnets.

Please note that magnetic stainless sheets are shipped with a protective PVC coating on one side to protect the outer finish. Simply peel off the coating once your magnetic sheet(s) are ready to display.
